Found by schoolkids at the local Primary School who are doing a project on insects. "She Who Must Be Obeyed" being the School Secretary took it home for me to photograph and have it ID'd. I thought it was a Devil's Coach Horse, (size 20-25mm) which in my Checklist goes under two names; Ocypus olens and Staphylinus olens, the latter I would think to be the latest title. Am I right with my ID ? If not, what is it???? Regards Roger Roger Thomason attached the following image: [188.04Kb] |
