Hi!

I don't know, into which genus to put this 9 mm Muscidae male from a hedge (northwest Germany). Another Phaonia or perhaps Helina sp.?

Yes, Phaonia is very probable. Legs chaetotaxy is needed.

I have looked at my photos, but unfortunately the legs are always out of focus Frown. Thanks nevertheless.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
