I used flash a lot last year, but this year I've tried to do without it (and I keep forgetting to bring the diffuser with me )

What kind of flash/diffuser do you use? I just use the pop-up flash on the camera as it is, just fiddle about with Exposure Compensation. I know it's not ideal, but it is good enough for what I need...at the moment. I think a ring flash for my camera (Samsung GX 20) is £400 odd, can't really justify that kind of outlay. Rest of the kit I use is a Schneider D-Xenon 100 Macro Lens. Used to use a Mono-pod with my other camera (Samsung GX-1L) but the Anti-shake in the GX-20 does away with the need for that. What Kit do you use? Regards Roger....insomniac 16 years nightworking does your head in. |

Oh, OK. Thanks anyway Camille Roger, I use an old film cannister which I pull over the onboard flash. I have also put a piece of tissue paper in the cannister to soften the light even more. When using the Raynox DCR-150 I don't really need the diffuser, but for the Raynox 250 I do or I get a nasty shadow from the lens barrel. I don't think a ring flash is an option for my camera (Canon Powershot S3IS) |
