Hi,
Some days ago I saw this nice fly on a pasture east of Berlin. I thought of a Rhinophorid, but wing venation has no petiolus. So Tachinidae? But the head does not look very "tachinidish" to me... I am very courious to hear an expert's opinion!
Many thanks, Sundew

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
