I sent this one off along with some Coleoptera for ID, to be told it was Hymenoptera.
It is maybe 2mm long (max)
Anyone here ID it?

Yep, it's a small wasp of the family Bethylidae, but genus/ species will be difficult from a picture!

these wasps have a very strong sting. Frown But mutillids are even worse!

I think it looks like a cross between some form of Coleoptera (the head) and an Ichneumon Wasp (the rest of it). Thankfully....not stung, if it's as bad as you say.
