Lots of these around at the moment, even inside the house....this one was photographed in the garden today..chasing and being chased by D.plumipes male...maybe fighting over territory.
Can THIS ONE be taken to species level????

Unfortunately, no details for the 1st picture of Dolichopus.
The 3rd picture is certainly Dolichopus plumipes (Scopoli, 1763).
