Oh, no, not Stegana. Stegana had 'bent' wings, in this species it is only the abdomen that is bent downwards. It is Discomyza incurva, of which you can find a picture of the larvae and some background information here: http://www.dipter...hoto_id=78.

So Ephydridae, snail feeders - who would only guess? Wink... Now I can see that the head is also quite different from Stegana.
