This is a male of Allognosta vagans. I was puzzled by the silver abdominal spots at first, but realise now that they are just reflections. The species has a wide Palaearctic distribution, from West Germany to Japan, and including Ukraine, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland, but I don't know of any records from Russia. A good find! Tony ---------- Tony Irwin |
