Bombylidae from the canaries -> Exhyalanthrax simonae

Hello, this rather small (~8mm) Bombylidae is from april from the south of Tenerife. For me pictures of the genus Exhyalanthrax in the gallery seemed most similar. Hello Francois, this seems to be an endemic species which was described rather recently? I can't really see a big difference between the Exhylaanthrax species. Can you tell me, for what characteristics I have to look for? Thanks, Michael |
