Hello, The first fly I saw two weeks ago near Eys (Roodborn). First thought was Opomyza germinationis but I hesitate because of the partly black legs and the pattern of stripes at the thorax. The thorax seems to be not as flattened as in my other Opomyza-pictures. The second one is from July last year near Heerlen (Kunderberg). Could it be Opomyza florum ? Hi Ben, With the first one I would go for Sciomyzidae (although I'm not sure; certainly not Opomyzidae because it has distinct postvertical bristles that are in Opomyzidae only present in the genus Anomalochaeta, which looks quit different). The second one is indeed Opomyza florum. Jan Willem |
