A bigger Tachinid, around 10-12 mm, E-Hungary.

what concerns its rarity, I collect ones or twise a year in Lithuania, so rare enough here (not given by Fauna Europaea)

I had 3 from Nikita, collected in Kursk region. Nice fly - and very distinctive with it's large size, strong dusting and deep gena.

well Theo, I have several species from south of Lithuania, which distribution (according to literature) search as far northwards, as Poland is. The main reason of this is short Dipterological traditions in my country and interesting zoogeographical position
