Hi! This cricket nymph was about 10 mm long only. This weekend, on a wet field with Gryllus campestris specimens also. Is this also G capestris?

Hi It is not a nymph of Gryllus campestris, which at this time of the year are adults or almost so. The nymphs of Gryllus campestris are almost completely black. They wear a good deal of small golden hairs covering the body at early stages, less so at advanced stages like the one to expect after overwintering. This looks rather like the nymph of a Pteronemobius cricket. Regards Miquel |
