Hi, this spectacular larva was found in decaying yew wood. W-Hungay, April.

Tipulidae, Tipula irrorata. Widespread in Europe, larvae are known from moss, on surface of strongly decayed fallen trees and tree stumps, in decayed wood inside tree holes and bases of broken branches. |
