Hello,

this ~12mm larvae is from two weeks ago from a small forest near Cologne. I found it in rotten wood (of Picea abies?)

Is this a diptera larvae? What family and/or genus perhaps?

Thanks,
Michael

Oh, the head is not the thing with the black spots on the right? Then I am afraid, I don't have a foto of it. Is it at least a diptera?

Ok, thanks. Another case for my "unknown diptera" order.
