Hello, could it be possible to confirm (or not) that we are facing : Urophora quadrifasciata (male) ? This picture was taken the 9-June-2006 in France close to Rennes. Very unusual for this species to sit on a daisy, but you're quite right it's U. quadrifasciata, a male. Hosts are several Centaurea species. John |
