Hi, this one was found in Greece, on a street near a garden. What can it be?

Could possibly be the larva of either Lesser Spotted Fritillary Melitaea trivia or Spotted Fritillary M.didyma which are both found in Greece. I am only going by Photo's in Moths and Butterflies of Europe and N.Africa Website. These were the closest I saw while trawling for something else...sorry I don't know how to set up a link. Regards Roger...Lesser Spotted looks favourite to me. Edited by Roger Thomason on 16-01-2009 07:05 |
