May 27, 2005. On the trunk of Alnus. Size around 12mm.
Pictures were taken during short breaks in continuing nasty rain, it was windy and temperature was quickly falling from 15 to 5-6 degrees, so the fly was rather slow-moving.

Could this one with a pseudoscorpion on its leg be a male of the same species? Size a bit smaller.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
