Cerodontha denticornis and C. affinis have both variable colouring thorax, only near C. denticornis is absent acrostichlas setulae. This is probably C. denticornis. Milos Edited by mcerny on 19-10-2008 19:22 |

Kahis, Milos, thx for the help. Milos does the variablilty of thorax color include the color of scutellum? I have one image in my gallary labeled as C. d. cf, but it has an entirely grey scutellum. Is that ID correct? Can I assume that this image and this image also shows C. denticorne cf? Or the darker tibia colors suggest another C. species? Gabor, if is specimen without acr setulae it is Cerodontha denticornis (only European species, some African species are too without acr setulae). Colouring (including scutellum) near C. d. is very variable. Milos |
