Can diptera be determinated on general appaerence? More details available They were feeding and mating on decayed stems of Heracleum sphondyllium - a lot of them. Klaas attached the following image: [147.94Kb] |

Correct. Female of D. febrilis is unmistakable in the Netherlands. Would have been useful to have location and date in case they were not D. febrilis, though.
