Lepidoptera, Lasiocampa quercus - larva from Romania

Hi, i have found today this moth larva, most likely is some lasiocampid but i really don't have any ideea where to put this one. this where found on Alnus glutinosa (2 larva found) lateral and dorsal view in one. thanks for the help, cosmln [EDIT]: title updated, thanks crex cosmln attached the following image: [108.16Kb] Edited by cosmln on 23-09-2008 19:54 |

This larvae vary in appearance. According to Caterpillars of the British Isles this is a young larvae - "The young larvae are greyish-blue with orange diamond-shaped markings along the back."
