Hi, Can you help me with the identification of this Vespidae? I took this pic in Gran Canaria on the 29th of august 2008 on flowers near a dry river bank. Thanks in advance! Lavendel attached the following image: [63.64Kb] Edited by Lavendel on 01-09-2008 17:01 Kind regards, Sandra |

Hello, Delta unguiculatum would seem be correct. Pierre Duhem |

Clearly Camille have reason. Delta is completely different. This one seems to be Rhynchium oculatum /with some doubts because I don't know if exist similar species in Netherlands) |

Hi, I think it was a bit confusing. I had a holiday on one of the Canary islands named: Gran Canaria (I'am sorry I don't know the correct spelling in English). There I took the pictures. So it could indeed be Rhynchium oculatum. Thank you! Kind regards, Sandra |

Sorry, I don't read the message and only supposed the location four your city. Then, in Gran Canaria is clearly Rhynchium oculatum, cited for this island and not mistakable with any of the other Canarian species of Eumeninae. |
