The Arista is basically bare, any hairs being shorter than the width of the arista at the point where they arise

Hi Nikita, If it is Lophosceles mutatus it is a long way from its known range. Fauna Europaea plots the N/S range as Finland/Sweden down to Austria/Slovakia  |

My guess would be Lispocephala. Is there 3 sternopleural bristles arranged in equilateral triangle and 3 dc after the suture, Gordon ? Stephane. |

If I'm not wrong with the genus, Lispocephala ungulata could be a good candidate.

Dear Stephane, Yes there are thre dorsocentral bristles after the suture and yes there are 3 sternopleural bristles arranged in a triangle, see photo, but there are also smaller hairs/bristles on the Sternopleuron Gordon attached the following image:  [62.16Kb] |
