Thanks Theo and Chris - If I'm honest with myself that's all I could expect! I suggested Lydella as L. grisescens is the commonest Tachinid I have caught here over the last two years. I potted it anyway so I'll know soon enough! |

Interesting because Lydella grisescens isn't all that common across the UK. We get a few records from it but I think I have only caught it a few times here in central England |

Lydella is quite common at marshes, especially salty marshes, in late summer and autumn. So maybe, Chris, you don't visit these types of habitats, because they are too far from your place ? Theo |
