Hello

Can you tell me which one is this Diptera. I think it is a Tephritidae but I can't go further ... Frown

A Urophora sp. Possibly, and almost certainly, U. cuspidata Mg., which is associated with Centaurea scabiosa and allied species. Another possibility is U. solstitialis L (on Carduus sp) Unfortunately, most species can be determined w/ certainty only based on fine details of the ovipositor tips.
