Which Sarcophagid is this?

The pic was taken in April in Cairo, Egypt of one of the first specimens I had seen this year in our garden. Their numbers increase in the summer but they are not nearly as common as many other members of the diptera order.

I am a keen birder and have a passion for odonata and spiders but on this website I am completely out of my depth so I hope all you members out there are extremely patience, But we all have to start somewhere!

usual photo-posting rules - keep size below 190KB and no spaces in the file name. If this fails try to crop/resize it and try again Wink
