Hello!

Nice leafhopper from Hungary. Could anyone give me some indications about the genus or even species? The habitat was a dry slope of montane area bordering deciduous forest. It sat on a leaf of hornbeam (Carpinus betulus). Small sized, few mm long.

9th of May 2008.

Looks likePenthimia nigra which is a Cicadellid. Can be brown or black, and sometimes has a pair of red spots on the pronotum. Definitely a tree dweller.........likes Oak fror preference apparently,

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
