Hello forum,

This fly I find very difficult!
The sice is around 7mm
The radial note has setulae on both sides of the wings....so it could be a Limnophora, but then the bend of M1 is strange.
And by the sice of the fly, is has to be the Limnophora uniseta(Stein,1916)....?
I realy have doubt....
(Pre-alar is 1/3 of lenght of the post.notopleural, meron is bare, scutellum benead is bare, all stergiets are hairy)

Greatings Joke

Really....Grin That's the one!
I never consider Myospila....
Then I think it is female Myospila medetabunda(Fabricius 1781)
Mid tibia with 1ad and 2 posterior.

Many thanks....Joke!

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
