15 June 2008, Almaty province, Karasay district, near Kyrgauldinka River, 43.161486?N, 76.728567?E. Size 5 mm. On burnt sticks and stones at a fire site. Other specimens were occasionally seen near water and on bark of trees.

I'd say, an obscure staff: my material still await for revision, BTW most of European species, which are very poorly ID.

I would go for Platystoma gemmationis, but as Val says, this whole genus needs revision. I'm currently working toward that, slowly building up a stock of information and specimens (I have many from Italy, Greece, Turkey and Iran). If anybody would like to post me their material on loan, it'll push me along a bit
