Hi there, I took these images in Sweden (05-06-2008) in the surroundings of ?sthammar (Uppland) in cow dung. Is it one of the Lucilia species? Thanks for the help. Andre Jas attached the following image: [134.19Kb] Edited by Andre Jas on 29-06-2008 15:02 Andr? Jas |

That is one chubby fly ! I don't think it is Lucilia, I think it is Neomyia.

Andr?, try to watch on your bigger original size pictures : If there are 1 presut. ac and 3 postsut. dc, it is Neomyia cornicina. If there is no presut. ac and 4 postsut. dc, it is Neomyia viridescens. Stephane. |

Dear Stephane, Please help me with that. Can you point the hairs out to me on one of the images? Thanks a lot. Andre Jas attached the following image: [54.55Kb] Edited by Andre Jas on 09-07-2008 14:59 Andr? Jas |

Thanks, this is Neomyia viridescens, less common than N. cornicina.
