Hello,

what species is this +- 2cm asilidae, which I found two weeks ago near a lake in western germany? For me it looks like the Neoitamus pictures in the gallery.

looks like a male N. cyanurus. Do you have a detail of the genitalia to confirm the ID?

I only have this photo from a bit more above. I don't know, whether the genitalia are better to see. It was another specimen, but I hope the same species.

Hi,

then I would better call it Neoitamus cf. cyanurus. The genitalia are not good enough to see to confirm the ID.
