 Hi,

This is smaller than Empis tessellata and more grey with reddish legs and eyes. I think it's Empis rustica, not sure though.

Feeding on Geranium pyrenaicum Bill Wallis.

Taken on 4th June 2008

Lincoln UK.

 Thanks Paul! I see there is only a pic of the male in the gallery. I will upload this one, not the best pic but it wouldn't stay still! At least it is a reasonable representation for now.
