Hi,
Here we hace a very successful crab spider with a big prey. I thought of Tachina magnicornis, but the body shape and the white spots on the abdomen make me uncertain. I found a picture of Thelaira nigrina that bore some resemblance, so I would like to ask the experts for ID.
Many thanks, Sundew

Indeed, looks like Thelaira nigripes (sic).

Well, nigripes really has a different meaning: black feet (quod non, by the way, in this species).

Ahh, of course - maybe if I try to remember it in that way I might not get it wrong again? Pfft

Well, I found the name on the INSECTES website (http://aramel.fre...5-51.shtml) in two different spellings - Theleira nigrina and Theleira nigripes. Whereas I changed the genus to Thelaira, I chose the wrong epitheton. Nevertheless I consider this website really great and pity that my French is not good enough to understand everything at once.
Cheers, Sundew
