Hello, what can be said about this fly? Is it perhaps a Phaonia (Anthomyiidae)? Thanks, Michael Michael Becker attached the following image: [38.89Kb] Edited by Michael Becker on 01-06-2008 20:20 |

Hello, Michael! Michael Becker wrote: Is it perhaps a Phaonia (Anthomyiidae)? Phaonia would be Muscidae. But I don't think it's a Phaonia, I would also vote for Anthomyiidae (but I'm no expert...). Hi J?rgen, thanks for answering. Yes, Phaonia is in Muscidae - perhaps it was too late yesterday. I looked through the anthomyiid gallery. The only one I found with such a light brown abdomen was Pegomyia bicolor. Could it be a Pegomyia species? Michael |
