This Doli is a female of Sympycnus pulicarius (Fallen, 1823) [Dolichopus] * =Dolichopus pulicarius Fallen, 1823: Dipt.Svec. 2 (Monogr.Dolichopod.Svec.): 20 ** possible ST in MZLU, 3 males and 1 female in NHRS. Type locality: not given [Sweden]. Oops - no Medetera! That's still better! So there are more Dolis with a "horse head", and it seems that Medetera uses to sit more erect. I'll check my photo stock for a true Medetera - there must be one... Many thanks indeed, Igor! Sundew |
