I think it is more likely to be Emmesomyia species (Anthomyiidae). I base this on: rather short abdominal tergites (do not wrap round the sides)and swollen membrane (Emmesomyia are larviviparous) , large lower calypteres, narrow parafacials and dark abdominal segments 6+. If you think you can see a setula just below the wing base, this is a character of Emmesomyia. |
