Hello! This one from May-11 (lower vegetation near forest, northwest Germany) was only about 5 mm. I am not sure, whether I should put it into Heleomyzidae. I had thad species already in our garden, and I was wondering about this fly being a Scatophagid - but then I thought it was too small and not spiny enough...
