Hello, on my harddisc I have found this picture from June 12.th, 2005. I have posted it in the forum of insektenfotos.de, and J?rgen Peters replied, it ist Tabanus sp., but was not sure about the exact species, he supposed either sudeticus or bovinus. Can someone help to identyfy it? The insect was large, nearly 3 cm long. Habitat: D-53572 Unkel, Rhineland-Palatinum, River Rhine valley.
