...or Helina evecta again (very numerous in the last weeks, but I think they look more like these: http://insektenfo...adid=14998). At tree trunk on April-29 (northwest Germany). Length 9-10 mm.

Within the orange-tipped Phaonia, this one has 2 prescutellar bristles and slightly shaded crossveins : either P. errans or P. valida. With M not upcurved apically and flight period, I'd say Phaonia errans.

On your www : the first two (all black) seem to be Helina evecta , the third is another Phaonia sp.

It occurs to me more yellowish and larger (largest Phaonia). So I think, you are right with errans.
