Taken last year around 20th May South Coast UK. Not certain of the size but between 1 to 2 cms. Seemed to be black all over including the wings with no visible markings- 2 pairs of wings? Thanks Brian V. Edited by LordV on 25-02-2006 11:35 |

Hello Brian, This is a Hymenoptera in the Symphyta, the so called Sawflies. I think this one belongs to the family Tenthredinidae! Greetings, Edited by Gerard Pennards on 25-02-2006 13:48 Greetings, Gerard Pennards |

Hi Brian, It is a member of the Symphyta. My guess would be Tenthredinidae. Jan Willem |
