I saw several of these rather smallish (5 - 6 mm) flies in a bramble bush near a ditch, Amstelveen, the Netherlands. They had smoky wings, and the abdomen is a kind of dark bronze coloured. All in all, a rather dark fly.

Any hope at a (partial) ID?
