Hi everyone,

I'm a bit confused to ask once more this identification query that has been asked thousands times here... arthropa.free.fr/images/css-noir/sm-oops.gif

But this doesn't sound so obvious to me. Just tell me if my reasoning is right :
I photographied this one in Kerlaz (Brittany), France, on 5th Aug 2007. Wing length was 9.5 mm.

arthropa.free.fr/images/css-noir/sm-arrow.gif Claws are not so evident to see on these pictures, but abdomen appears to be rather flat, so I think it's a male.

arthropa.free.fr/images/css-noir/sm-arrow.gif Black stripe appears to be rather large (>1/5 abdomen length), so this should be some crassipennis. In this case, no rear broading of this stripe confirms it is a male.

(These flies are definitely so nice ! Smile )
