Hi everyone, I'm a bit confused to ask once more this identification query that has been asked thousands times here... But this doesn't sound so obvious to me. Just tell me if my reasoning is right : I photographied this one in Kerlaz (Brittany), France, on 5th Aug 2007. Wing length was 9.5 mm. Claws are not so evident to see on these pictures, but abdomen appears to be rather flat, so I think it's a male. Black stripe appears to be rather large (>1/5 abdomen length), so this should be some crassipennis. In this case, no rear broading of this stripe confirms it is a male. (These flies are definitely so nice ! ) Benoit MARTHA |

Very nice pics - definitely Ectophasia and I would guess crassipennis too |
