Welcome on this forum. It is indeed a tachinid fly, I think a male of Ernestia puparum.

I was searching as well. I does look a lot like Ernestia puparum.
Could it also be Winthemia quadripustulata?

NO, Stephane is quite right.
Were was the picture taken ? This fly is quite rare in The Netherlands.

Cool. This was taken in Sleeuwijk, Noord-Brabant on the edge of the town. It was sitting on a tree in a small park where people walk their dogs. There was also a small area of water closeby.

E. puparum is restricted to the southern part of the Netherlands so far. Only very old record north of the mains rivers.

So it might be moving north, as many others

Well I live pretty far to the south. Sleeuwijk is just below Gorinchem in Noord-Brabant. Just below the Merwede/Maas. About 40km from the Belgium border.
