Hello,
Does anyone know the species name of the grasshopper couple I saw in my garden in September?
Thanks, Sundew

Hello!
Looks like some Chorthippus. There are many species in the genus, maybe someone knows the species. As for me, they are very difficult for identification (tried many times, but failuredSmile).

In Britain I would have said Chorthippus albomarginatus (Lesser Marsh Grasshopper) - the pronotal side keels (roughly the line of the division between the straw and green colouration on the thorax) appear fairly straight, and it quite often has this two tone pattern. However, similar species may occur in continental Europe.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
