Hi, What are these Sarcophagids doing? There is so much place on the house wall, but they seem to seek company. Or was this small wall spot hit by a splash of some yummy liquid? Any objections against calling them Sarcophaga? Or is it wiser to refer only to the family? Regards, Sundew (Location is the Island of Usedom in August.) According to the first picture, it is the yummy liquid hypothesis. You can see the large one feeding. Theo |
