Dear Members,

Going through one's archive always brings back memories and flies. Now here's a picture I like. It shows many details, but I doubt these are the details you're waiting for. Especially since I don't have a picture of the wings, I am clueless. But maybe some of you experts can tell me what family or genus this belongs to. Photographed on August 22nd.

Thanks a lot the both of you. Tricky genus, isn't it. I have had one in my garden that got identified as a possible P. rudis. So I'll put this one next to it as a Pollenia sp.
