Hello, Is it possible to say something about this Anthomyiidae ♂ which looks like a Delia? By consulting this document I cannot find any corresponding hairiness for the hind tibiae. I know Anthomyiid better than average, less worse than necessary. Your fly has strong Delia"jizz". However, to keep save my reputation I'd rather keep silence. Sciomyzid, Muscid, Fanniid are wellcome... Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |

For Anthomyiid there is only one expert in clear mind, still alive and with good knowledge, it is Verner Michelsen, the Dutch. Try to contact him.

This could help with Delia sp. Acta Zoologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 49 (2), pp. 87–101, 2003 MALE AND FEMALE MORPHOLOGY OF SOME CENTRAL EUROPEAN DELIA (ANTHOMYIIDAE) PESTS DARVAS, B. and A. SZAPPANOS Greetings, Eric Kloeckner |

I've just sent an email to Verner Michelsen with the photos and details of the specimen. I'll share any feedback I receive from him here. Thanks again for the suggestion! |
