Hello, This is again a small fly, sitting in the reed close to the water. First I thought of a muscid, but the wing venation of e. g. Hydrotaea doesn't match. Should it possibly be a Tachinid? Looks like Melanomya nana (Calliphoridae).

Very convincing! And surprising to me, as I had no Calliphorid association (at most concerning wing venation but not habit.) I'll keep it in mind when the next black fly crosses my camera lens. Regards, Sundew |
