Hello,
South of France, September 03, 2024.
It was collecting earth to coat its eggs.
Its position did not allow me to measure it but the length of a wing is 10 mm.
I'm thinking of the Villa genus but I've never seen one with such white hair. Is this a criterion for a species or a discoloration?
Thanks for your help with identification

Villa is correct and there's a white haired species in South-Europe: Villa ixion, which I unfortunately do not know and have no information about that species.
Greetings, Eric

Thanks Eric,
There are indeed few descriptions of Villa ixion but the white hairiness could be a good match.
