Hello! On Feb-21 this Tachinid hatched from a coccoon created on Feb-06 at a larva of the noctuid Diachrysia chrysitis/tutti (identified in Lepiforum) bred by Gabi Krumm, a member of my forum. Could this be Exorista sp.? The fly: The coccoon: The caterpillar: Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Hello, Theo! Zeegers wrote: it was only a first impression. Well, *my* first (and last) impression - as a layman - was: it's a Tachinid . That was the end of my wisdom...
