Hello,

I found these flies on July 22, 2024 at the edge of a field near bushes in Hesse (Germany).
I suspect Pollenia.

Hello Heiko, Pollenia sp. is correct - impossible to name the species from your photos.
We'd need sharp dorsal and lateral views.
